Ettie Lee Youth & Family Services has served the complex needs of at-risk youth with emotional and behavioral problems and their families throughout Southern California for nearly 70 years.
Currently, Ettie Lee is seeking a Full-Time Human Resources Assistant for its office in Glendora, CA.
The Position:
The Human Resources Assistant will coordinate and facilitate the recruitment lifestyle of the agency, will work cooperatively and effectively with other employees, and will assist the Human Resources Manager as needed. As a member of the Human Resources Team, the Human Resources Assistant is vital in managing day-to-day duties, while making sure staff are compliant with all local Human Resources laws. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintains complete personnel records and licensing documents.
- Creates and oversees the maintenance of employee personnel files
- Provides benefit information to all new staff and serve as a liaison for staff with benefits providers. Completes enrollment applications and insures timely submission to providers.
- Responsible for managing employee information in HRIS systems.
- Monitors the employee Time and Attendance System on a regular basis.
- Assists in preparing for the Annual Employee Appreciation Luncheon.
- Responsible for assisting reception (as needed), mail pick-up and/or opening and distribution.
- Oversees the maintenance of staff documents that are required as a condition of employment i.e. auto insurance, driver’s license, and TB.
- Generates and monitors Employee Change Notice (ECN) on new hires, transfers, position changes, salary changes, etc. for all employees.
- Serves as point of contact for Human Resources Department in the absence of the Human Resources Manager.
Human Resources are crucial to the Ettie Lee team as they provide assistance to all employees regarding compliance, protocols, procedures and company regulations.

Must have one of the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with courses in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field, OR
- Minimum of two (2) years of clerical/office experience preferably in a Human Resource environment.
All applicants must have:
- Prior experience with HRIS systems preferred.
- Proficient Microsoft Office Programs including Excel, Word, Outlook and Access
- Must possess a valid California driver license and have a driving record acceptable to agency’s insurance carrier.
Requirements:
- Must be able to pass criminal/fingerprinting background check, TB Test, physical exam and drug test
- Must have a valid California Driver’s License, a minimum of 3 years of driving experience and a DMV record acceptable to the agency’s insurance carrier
- Must be 21 years or older
Hours and Shifts:
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm
Rate: Starting at $21.75/hour
