Responsibilities
- Perform landscape installation tasks including planting, seeding, and laying sod with precision and care
- Maintain lawns and gardens through mowing, edging, pruning, fertilizing, and weed control to promote healthy growth
- Operate hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and hoes efficiently and safely for various landscaping projects
- Use power tools including trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, and lawnmowers to complete maintenance tasks effectively
- Implement irrigation systems installation and repairs to ensure optimal watering schedules for different plant types
- Manage greenhouse environments by monitoring temperature, humidity, watering schedules, and plant health
- Apply horticultural practices such as soil testing, fertilization, pest control, and crop rotation to support plant vitality
- Assist in farming activities related to landscape plants or garden crops when required
- Conduct landscape maintenance routines including mulch application, soil conditioning, and landscape cleanup
- Collaborate with clients or team members to plan landscape layouts that enhance aesthetic appeal and sustainability
Skills
- Strong knowledge of irrigation systems and greenhouse management techniques
- Proven growing experience with a variety of plants, flowers, shrubs, and trees
- Expertise in gardening practices including soil preparation and pest management
- Deep understanding of horticulture principles for healthy plant development
- Skilled in lawn care techniques such as aeration, overseeding, and fertilization
- Experience in landscape maintenance tasks like pruning, trimming, and seasonal cleanup
- Background in farming or agriculture practices relevant to landscape or garden projects
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools necessary for landscaping work
- Ability to read landscape plans and execute designs accurately
- Excellent physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions
