What are the responsibilities and job description for the Waitstaff / Server, Part Time position at joining the team at ClarkLindsey?
ClarkLindsey is now accepting applications for entry-level waitstaff/servers for our main dining room. This upscale restaurant style dining room operates seven days a week. Our ideal candidate is a reliable team-player who is willing to learn the service and hospitality techniques that contribute to the fine-dining atmosphere we strive to deliver. This role will allow you to build your resume while getting an introduction to working with older adults, customer service, and proper food handling procedures.
Openings
- This is a entry-level, hospitality focused, part-time position that requires evening availability, with late morning and afternoon availability on Sunday.
- Waitstaff/Servers are required to work at least three shifts per week (one shift must be on Saturday or Sunday), and be available for 4 days in-a-row during the first week of employment for one-time training.
- The hours are 4 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Monday - Saturday and 11:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. on Sundays.
- Helpful, friendly people that enjoy moving at a quick pace to meet the needs of customers will enjoy this position that requires attention to detail, excellent listening skills, and following procedures.
- Sincere interest in gaining knowledge in table service and food handling procedures is required.
Job Requirements
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and or carry such weight a minimum distance of 100 feet.
- Must be able to pull a loaded cart a minimum distance of 300 feet.
- Must possess sight/hearing so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
- Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, the appearance of work areas, and perform regular inspections of food service areas for sanitation, order, safety, and proper performance of assigned duties.
- Must be able to function independently.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English Language.
- Must abide by ClarkLindsey’s HIPAA privacy and security rules as described in the Employee handbook.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, and the general public.
- Background check and pre-employment physical and TB test required.

Compensation and Benefits
The pay for this position is $15.60 per hour. Bonuses equaling up to 2% of salary annually are available based on performance, generally in the spring and fall each year.
