Position Overview
We are seeking a friendly, responsive Inside Sales Intern to join our team and help support and grow our life science customer base. This paid position will be the first point of contact for potential clients, helping to qualify leads and drive deal flow across both biotech and pharmaceutical research institutions. This role is ideal for someone looking to launch a career in life sciences, sales, or healthcare innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Management & Sales Support
- Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming sales inquiries from biotech and pharmaceutical research institutions
- Conduct timely review and response to several weekly sales leads
- Qualify prospects and assess project requirements to determine fit with Joined Bio's capabilities
- Prepare and submit quotes for qualified opportunities within established timelines
- Maintain accurate records of all lead interactions and follow-up activities in CRM system
Customer Relationship Management
- Provide exceptional customer service support to existing and potential clients
- Understand customer issues and technical requirements, routing complex requests to appropriate team members
- Follow up on outstanding quotes and proposals to maintain momentum in the sales process
- Support account management activities for key research institution clients
Business Development Support
- Assist with inbound lead qualification and initial needs assessment
- Participate in opportunity to engage in outbound lead generation activities (encouraged but not required)
- Research potential prospects within target biotech and pharmaceutical markets
- Support sales team with administrative tasks and pipeline management
Qualifications
Required
- Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate (within past 12 months) of an associate, bachelor’s, or master’s degree program
- Must be a Massachusetts resident OR have attended college in Massachusetts
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Coachable, curious, and eager to learn about biotech, operations, and sales
- Bonus: Experience with Salesforce or sales-related activities
Preferred
- Interest in healthcare, biotechnology, or patient advocacy
- Experience creating content for professional or healthcare audiences
- Knowledge of healthcare communication regulations and sensitivities
- Previous internship or project experience in social media marketing
- Familiarity with content management systems and social media scheduling tools

Duration & Commitment
