Education Minimum: Associate's degree, equivalent education or comparable experience
Education Preferred: Associate's degree with course work emphasis in Construction management
Experience Minimum: One (1) to (3) three years of experience
Experience Preferred: Three (3) to five (5) years

Performs facility maintenance and conducts safety inspection.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Receives written work orders or verbal instructions from supervisor.
- Performs general building maintenance tasks such as painting, plumbing,
- electrical, carpentry and HVAC repairs.
- Maintains and repairs floors, ceiling tiles and walls.
- Gathers confidential documents for shredding.
- Performs function set-ups.
- Assists other departments with moving furniture and equipment.
- Uses hand tools, portable power tools, and equipment.
- Operates forklift and/or backhoe if certified.
- Schedule weekly, monthly and annual fire pump tests
- Schedule annual fire alarm and sprinkler inspections
- Schedule semi-annual fire door inspections
- Schedule annual fire extinguisher tests and inspections
- Schedule annual elevator load test
- Schedule annual hoist and lift inspections
- Schedule annual storm water inspection
- Schedule bi-annual RPZ back flow testing
- Schedule generator inspections
- Conduct monthly fire extinguisher inspections
- Conduct monthly eye wash station inspections
- Conduct monthly CO2 detection inspections
- Conduct monthly elevator inspections
- Conduct monthly AED inspections
- Perform constant visual assessments of campus condition and create work orders
- Creates database, collects and analyzes monthly automatic door inspections to ensure
- ADA compliancy
- Knowledgeable in ADA compliant regulations
- Maintains Inspection Reports for Fire Alarm, Sprinklers, Backflow and Elevators
- Coordinates repairs of street light issues and outages with the Town
- Assists with other duties as assigned

Language Skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office software and Colleague.
- Valid NC driver's license
