Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Furniture Designer located in North Wilkesboro, NC.
The Furniture Designer will be responsible for developing new product concepts from idea through production. This includes designing for manufacturability, collaborating directly with the factory team, and refining prototypes through hands-on iteration.
The role involves working closely with engineering, production, and leadership to create designs that are both visually strong and practical to produce. The designer will also contribute to ongoing product improvements and help evolve the overall design direction of the company.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in furniture and/or product design with a focus on real-world application
- Ability to design with manufacturing in mind (metal fabrication experience is a major plus)
- Proficiency in CAD and technical drawing
- Hands-on understanding of materials, construction methods, and prototyping
- Good design sense with the ability to create clean, well-proportioned pieces
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work closely with a production team and adapt designs as needed
- Background in Industrial Design, Furniture Design, or similar field preferred
- Prior experience in a furniture manufacturing environment is a plus
