Summary
Enterprise-level technical leader driving innovation, strategy, and operational excellence; sets standards and mentors across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Translate complex product requirements into appropriate packaging designs to optimized designs; enhance cost and performance by partnering with R&D, Marketing, IDHF, Manufacturing and other applicable stakeholders. Recommend, design, and validate packaging solutions and/or testing equipment.
Drive innovation by contributing new inventions, designs, materials, processes, or techniques that advance packaging capabilities.
Lead high-complexity projects, including documentation and regulatory/compliance initiatives.
Manage, lead, and mentor employees to foster professional growth and ensure team performance.
Manage and coordinate packaging support services such as testing labs and design/prototyping to ensure operational excellence.
Rapidly process new information and propose creative, actionable solutions; author complex technical documents that may impact department standards and strategies.
Proactively gather information from cross-functional partners, demonstrate ownership and timely support for business needs.
Lead and facilitate departmental and cross-functional technical discussions and decision-making.
Manage, lead, and mentor employees to foster professional growth and ensure team performance.
Supervise and coordinate contract engineers, including onboarding, task assignment, and performance management,

Qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent University degree is required; focused degree in Package Engineering Degree (or degree in an engineering or scientific field e.g., Mechanical, Chemical, Biomedical Engineering) preferred.
Must have a minimum of six years of relevant experience
Must have experience in sterile processing
Must have design and process knowledge for package development
Must be familiar with notified bodies, FDA, and BSI.
Experience with lean manufacturing

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$102,000.00 - $177,100.00
Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
Vacation –120 hours per calendar year
Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year
Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year
Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child
Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year
Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days
Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year
