Description
Under the direction of the Shipping Manager, this position loads and unloads trucks, receives, verifies and stores incoming inventory items, and completes paperwork as needed.

- Load materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit
- Conveys units or pallets from storage or work areas to designated areas
- Loads and unloads parts onto or from pallets, trays racks and shelves by hand
- Attaches identifying tags or labels to completed units or marks other information on other types of packaging
- Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands together
- Wraps, skid and anchors units to pallets for shipping or exporting as required
- Notifies Shipping Manager when orders are completed and ready for shipping
- Enters order numbers and prints BOL's from SAP
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Keep area clean and organized
- Follow safety procedures and instructions
- Maintain productivity throughout shift
- Meet the daily production schedule as provided by Shipping Manager
- Other duties as assigned
Education
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Minimum one year of shipping and/or receiving experience
- Minimum one year of forklift experience
- Ability to work overtime
- Ability to read a tape measure
