What You'll Do
As a Logistics Specialist, you'll help ensure the smooth flow of products and information throughout our transportation network by:
- Coordinating shipment activities and monitoring deliveries from origin to destination
- Maintaining accurate transportation, inventory, and shipment information within SAP and other business systems
- Preparing and managing shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and delivery schedules
- Tracking shipments and proactively identifying and resolving delays, discrepancies, or documentation issues
- Communicating shipment updates with customers, carriers, warehouse teams, and internal stakeholders
- Coding invoices and supporting transportation-related financial processes
- Creating reports and analyzing logistics data to support operational decision-making
- Maintaining accurate shipping, receiving, and transportation records
- Supporting inventory reporting, record reconciliation, and cycle count documentation
- Assisting with departmental initiatives, process improvements, and special projects
- Maintain highly accurate transportation and operational records
- Help ensure shipments are delivered on time and issues are resolved quickly
- Build strong relationships with internal teams, customers, and transportation partners
- Provide meaningful reporting and insights that support business decisions
- Contribute ideas that improve efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction
What We're Looking For:
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with the ability to meet company driving requirements
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Associate degree or technical training
- 1-3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, administration, customer service, or a related field
- Experience working with SAP or similar ERP systems
- Experience maintaining reports, records, and operational documentation
- Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple priorities
- Analytical and confident working with spreadsheets, reports, and data
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality
- Proactive and resourceful when solving problems
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with deadlines
- A strong communicator who enjoys collaborating with a variety of teams and partners
