Role Description
This is a full-time role for an Associate Attorney in our Knoxville, Tennessee office, preferably with 2-5 years of experience in civil litigation. Dual admission in Tennessee and Georgia is strongly preferred as this role will involve both Tennessee and Georgia litigation. The Associate Attorney will handle day-to-day tasks related to legal research, drafting pleadings and discovery, taking depositions, and attending hearings. The primary focus of this position will be insurance defense both for carriers and insureds. Excellent writing skills, ability to efficiently manage responsibilities, and interpersonal skills are the qualities we are seeking.
Qualifications
- Legal Research, Negotiation, and Legal Advice skills
- Experience in Labor and Employment Law
- Strong understanding of legal principles and practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to a state bar required
