Johnson Equipment is looking for an experienced Commercial Dock & Door Lead Technician with hands-on experience servicing and repairing high-speed roll-up doors—Rytec experience strongly preferred.
We are a full-service forklift sales, service, and rental company that also provides complete commercial dock and door service, including overhead doors, high-speed doors, dock levelers, restraints, bumpers, and related equipment.
We are looking for more than just a technician. The right person will be someone who wants to grow with our company, build customer relationships, and quickly take on greater responsibility within our service operation.
What You'll Do
- Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair high-speed roll-up doors, overhead doors, dock levelers, restraints, and related dock equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and perform preventative maintenance and repairs.
- Work directly with customers, build relationships, and identify additional repair, upgrade, or service opportunities.
- Assist with estimates, project bidding, parts sourcing, and other service-related needs as your role develops.
What We're Looking For
- Professional experience with commercial high-speed doors, overhead doors, and/or dock equipment.
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills; electrical, hydraulic, and welding.
- Someone who communicates well with customers and is comfortable taking initiative.
- Interest and ability to grow beyond field work into greater customer, operational, and leadership responsibility.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Forklift mechanical/service experience is a strong bonus.
