Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately billing patients and insurance companies, ensuring timely payments and maintaining accurate records.
Duties:
- Review claims for coding accuracy
- Prepare and submit claims to various insurance companies
- Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe
- Utilize medical collection techniques to keep accounts receivable levels low
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient information
Skills:
- Proficiency in medical coding such as ICD-10 and CPT coding systems
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical records, and medical office procedures
-Experience with Medicare LCD's
- Extensive knowledge of commercial and government insurance requirements and reimbursements
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
