Job Purpose:
The Staff Accountant at JOHNS BYRNE CO is responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare daily and weekly reporting requirements such as Cash, Temp Labor, and Inventory.
- Administer and process Expense Reports using SAP Concur Solutions, assist Accounting Manager in providing ongoing support to Users.
- Monthly Close activities, including Accrual and Adjusting Journal Entries, Bank and Balance Sheet Reconciliations, and Excel-based reporting.
- Update and reconcile Capex, prepare Fixed Asset capitalization entries and work with Accounting Manager to reconcile Fixed Assets.
- Prepare monthly Sales Cube.
- Assist Accounting Manager in OneStream platform used for Financial Statement consolidation, such as entering supplemental sales information, EBITDA addbacks and Fixed Asset Roll Forwards.
- Provide assistance with Financial Audit.
- Provide accounting support to meet various business needs and requirements.
- Assist preparing ad-hoc financial reports.
- Communicate with management effectively, in-person and over video calls.
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Required Experience:
- Experience in Accounting and Excel required.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
- 2 - 4 years’ accounting experience.
- Experience in manufacturing environment a plus.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Technical skills in account reconciliation, journal entries, and month-end close responsibilities.
- Ability to grasp technical issues and adapt to Operations situations that change accounting treatments.
- Must be experienced in Excel. Role requires experience using If, Sumif(s), XLookup, and various other formulas/Excel functions. Experience with PivotTables a plus.
- Experience using ERP/Accounting system, includes inquiries and running/exporting reports is required.
- General Computer and MS Office proficiency.
- Experience with Monarch and OneStream a plus.
Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
