Position Summary:

The Project Administrator for Quality Improvement is responsible for supporting the administrative operations and administration of projects under the purview of the Director of Quality Improvement. The Project Administrator directly supports the Director of Quality Improvement for department operations, regulatory and compliance issues, project management and financial management. This position requires frequent interaction and coordination with hospital and health system leadership. The Project Administrator leads administrative operations for the JHH Board of Trustees Quality Improvement Committee, the JHH Quality Improvement Council, the JHH Clinical Quality Improvement Committee, JHH Quarterly Quality Improvement Results, and other executive and physician committees as assigned. This role facilitates the annual quality improvement strategic planning and periodic evaluation process. The Project

Administrator provides integrated project management support to the Director of Quality Improvement including high-priority, high-visibility initiatives such as the JHH Quality Outcomes Task Force. The Project Administrator interacts on a frequent basis with colleagues supporting the President, COO, CFO, CIO, Vice Presidents and Functional Unit Directors of the hospital as well as the leadership of the various entities of the health system.

Education: Bachelors degree in business or healthcare administration, or equivalent is required. Masters Degree in business or healthcare administration is preferred.

Highly Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience using quality improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma (DMAIC), PDSA, or A3.
  • Experience with basic quality analytic such as run and pareto charts and proficiency in spreadsheets

Required Licensure, Certification, On-going Training: None

Work Experience: Five years of business administration experience required, preferably related to healthcare.

Must be able to apply quantitative analysis skills to operational decision-making. Must be proficient with web-based business applications, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Project management software experience preferred.

Salary Range: Minimum 31.53/hour - Maximum 52.06/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
