Clinical Quality Improvement Nurse

At Johns Hopkins, the Clinical Quality Improvement Nurse plays a vital role in advancing exceptional care for pediatric trauma and/or burn patients across the continuum. This position offers the RN an opportunity to contribute to a nationally respected pediatric program by supporting performance improvement, regulatory compliance, and patient outcome enhancement in a highly collaborative, mission-driven environment.

The ideal candidate is a meticulous, detail-oriented quality improvement professional with strong expertise in data abstraction, analysis, and registry support. Experience in the pediatric emergency department and/or trauma setting is highly valued, along with the ability to think critically, recognize patterns, and see the full patient picture in support of comprehensive quality improvement.

In this role, the nurse partners closely with Pediatric Trauma and Burn Medical Directors, program leadership, nursing leadership, registry staff, and multidisciplinary teams to drive meaningful improvement across the care continuum. Responsibilities include committee participation, data extraction and analysis, problem-solving, process improvement, and Epic workflow automation. The position also supports compliance with state, national, and accreditation standards, including pediatric trauma center and/or burn center verification requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for a quality improvement nurse who thrives on precision, collaboration, and continuous improvement—and who wants to make a measurable impact on the care of pediatric patients at Johns Hopkins.
