Sibley Memorial Hospital is a non-profit, full service 318 bed acute care community hospital serving the Washington, DC area. Sibley offers medical, surgical, intensive care, obstetric, oncology, orthopedic and skilled nursing inpatient services, as well as a 24-hour Emergency Department. Sibley’s campus is also home to Grand Oaks, an assisted living residence; a medical building with physician offices and ambulatory surgery and imaging centers; and the new patient tower with 200 spacious, private rooms.
Minimum Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required AND Master’s Degree in Nursing or a Health Care related field required.

Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the District of Columbia. Certification in area of specialty required or within 1 year of hire.

Advanced administrative skills at the level generally acquired through at least seven (7) years in an acute care setting to include nursing practice, education, and leadership experience. Critical Care & Emergency Department experience strongly preferred. Strong fiscal skills.

Knowledge and mastery of information systems and software commonly used in healthcare to support operational and clinical activities.

Experience in project development and implementation, to include both clinical and financial criteria required.

Current CPR Certification required.

In-depth knowledge of nursing theory, practice, and administration to plan and evaluate nursing standards and practice.

Knowledge of the science of patient safety and quality improvement processes.

Expert verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills.

Advanced interpersonal skills necessary to provide effective leadership and collaboration within an interdisciplinary setting.

Understanding of personal computers, hospital information systems, and patient care applications.

Knowledge of and ability to utilize financial data in the formulation of staffing plans budgets and business-related projects.

Ability to develop creative, exciting solutions to problems and to lead staff through the change process.

Salary Range: Minimum 164,354.00/annually- 209,897.00/annually. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
