The Financial Systems Analyst plays a vital role in bridging the gap between data analysis and strategic decision-making. Responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data from various hospital departments, this professional identifies trends, patterns, and opportunities. They generate comprehensive reports, develop data visualizations, and provide actionable insights to support hospital operations, patient care, and financial planning.
Data Analysis And Interpretation
- Consolidate data from multiple sources, including electronic health records (EHR), financial systems, and operational databases.
- Conducts deep-dive analysis to identify trends, correlations, and opportunities for improvement.
- Interprets complex data sets and provides clear, actprovides insights to support strategic initiatives and decision-making.
- Completes monthly and annual cost accounting system updates.
- Develop and maintain standardized and ad-hoc reports for various hospital departments, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
- Customize reports to meet departmental requirements and present findings to stakeholders in a clear manner.
- Develop high-quality reports with charts, graphs, drill-down, navigation, and other data visualization techniques using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, SQL, or similar platforms.
- Collaborate with team members in Finance to assess data needs and proactively provide decision support in areas such as resource allocation, service line optimization, and quality improvement.
- Assist in long-term strategic planning by analyzing market trends, forecasting patient volumes, and evaluating the impact of potential initiatives.
- Design, develop, and maintain spreadsheets, databases, and tracking tools for data collection, analysis, and evaluation of activities.
- Administer ERP security functions, including user access management, role creation, and authorization assignments, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.
- Act as a point of contact for ERP-related queries, offering expertise and guidance to ensure secure and efficient system usage.
Work Experience: Requires a minimum of three years of experience in decision support, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Salary Range: $31.53/hour - $52.06/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
