Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Counter Person to join our team. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service while ensuring the smooth operation of our front counter. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and help take their orders using the POS system.
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area and dining space in compliance with health regulations.
- Manage time effectively to ensure quick service during peak hours while maintaining quality.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, applying retail math skills as needed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food orders.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or retail environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and safety standards is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with patrons.
- Time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of POS systems is advantageous for processing transactions smoothly.
This would be a great job for someone with restaurant serving/bartending experience who is looking to change to a Monday - Friday day time job.
