The Role
Why This Matters: You'll transport specialized freight safely and efficiently on established regional routes — and you'll be home every night. No layovers. No extended time on the road. No guessing when you'll see your family.
What You'll Do:
- Operate a Class A commercial vehicle with steel dump trailer on regional routes
- Load, transport, and unload demolition materials and steel coils
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Maintain accurate logs and communicate professionally with dispatch and customers
- Navigate PA, OH, NY, NJ, CT, and WV safely and efficiently
- Represent Johnny Boy & Son with professionalism and pride
What We're Not Looking For: This is a driver's role, not a full labor position. You'll handle light loading/unloading assistance as needed, but the focus is on skilled, safe driving.

Minimum Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL (current and clean)
- Minimum 3 consecutive years of verifiable truck driving experience
- At least 2 years of dump trailer hauling experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Pass DOT drug alcohol screening (pre-employment and random testing per FMCSA)
- Strong knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations
- Physically capable of light loading/unloading and tarp systems when required
- Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious
Nice to Have
- Experience with steel or demolition hauling
- Strong mechanical knowledge (helpful for pre-trip efficiency)
