Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage transactions accurately will be essential in maintaining customer satisfaction and loyalty. Must be available to work weekdays and weekends
Duties
MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK ON FRIDAY & SATURDAY NIGHTS
- Operate the cash register and handle all transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
- Utilize Point of Sale (POS) systems for processing sales and managing inventory.
- Assist with stocking shelves and maintaining product displays to ensure a well-organized store environment.
- Engage in upselling techniques to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
- Demonstrate effective phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries over the phone.
- Supervise junior staff members as needed, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following health and safety guidelines.
- Must have knowledge of wine, beer and liquor. Experience is necessary
- Must be available to work on Friday and Saturday night
Skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with customers.
- Experience with cash registers and POS systems is highly desirable.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with a diverse customer base.
- Proven customer service skills with a focus on satisfaction and retention.
- Ability to supervise others while fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.
- Knowledge of stock management practices to assist in inventory control.
- Sales experience, particularly in upselling products, is beneficial for driving revenue growth.
