Press Machine Operator 2nd or 3rd Shift; 2nd shift hours 1:30pm-9:30pm; 3rd shift hours 9:15pm-5:15am

Job Summary

Under limited supervision, operates progressive stamping press and other equipment such as overhead crane and tool and die equipment. Produce pre-assembly parts for the production line. Adjustments and set-up are of a routine nature. Tolerances are normally close. Produces a variety of pressed parts. Other duties as required by Management.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate press machines and all auxiliary equipment with minimum supervision.
• Change over equipment and ensure quality of product.
• Make changes in prescribed operating conditions as necessary to produce quality products.
• Inspect dies visually, assign preventative maintenance if necessary
• Die scheduling
• Perform necessary preventative maintenance
• Perform necessary tests and measurements to assure product meets required specifications.
• Keep accurate products data and records as required.
• Correct or adjust any machine malfunction immediately to ensure continuity of production and quality of the next process.
• Report any major machine malfunction immediately to Supervisor/Group Leader.
• Continually inspect products while performing other duties.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Assist in other duties as directed by your Supervisor/Group Leader.
• May handle Hazardous Waste and Chemicals as required by the job functions.

Job Type: Full-time
