Job Title: Team Leader
Hours: Friday-Sunday 6:30am-7:00pm

Expected hours (subject to change) are 3x12 shift either:
· 6:30am-7pm
· Enjoy Monday through Thursday off!
In addition to hourly pay, you will also have a 5% quarterly bonus potential. You could also be eligible for a promotion to Level II (additional $1/hour) after 30 days of consecutive employment.

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for working closely with the Area Manager and Plant Manager for the timely completion of production schedules. The Team leader directs daily work for employees, keeps proper records and documents processes. The Team Leader is also responsible for the safety and cleanliness of the work areas and ensures that all personnel are properly trained.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
o Communicates work schedule to the team
o Accurately tracks & documents material consumption (on Paper)
o Accurately tracks and documents pallet declaration (on Paper)
o Conducts or oversees all pre-op completion, ensures quality production start up
o Conducts and manages all QA Checks, ensures accuracy of information
o Updates information in production software, Redzone, on Shift/Run/Activity/Forum Management
o Performs skills assessment of team, train staff, coach team members for efficient and regular improvement in production; completes new hire evaluations (30/60/90 day) and contributes to the annual performance evaluations with Area Manager
o Prepares materials for current run, next run, and next days’ production
o Functions as team coordinator of all hourly/shift activities
o Establishes and ensures a safe work environment for themselves and their team
o Secondary Responsibilities:
Complete Manufacturing Order (MO) Entries
Candidate Qualifications:
• Strong process and product knowledge is required.
• Certified in HACCP.
• Excellent problem solving capabilities.
• Demonstrated leadership, understanding, and enforcement of GMP, SOP, SSOP, SQF, HACCP, and USDA requirements.
• Good organizational and task management capabilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills (English required).
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Dynamic GP and Microsoft Office products.
• A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent directly related work experience is required; an Associate degree is preferred.
Internal employees:
Must perform all level functions at a satisfactory level for a minimum 90 days prior to advancement, no disciplinary action within 60 days, and points cannot be more than 4, must consistently demonstrate behavior aligned with the Volpi Way Fundamentals.
