Work A Great 4-Day Shift (4 days x 10 hours/day):
Expected hours (subject to change):
- 7am-5:30pm
- Enjoy Friday-Sunday off!
Position Summary:
This individual will work under the direction of the Production Manager and Department Team Leader(s). The operator will perform tasks critical to producing our products as well as perform quality inspections and verify that product is in conformance with the specified requirements.
As an employee, this individual must consistently demonstrate The Volpi Way fundamentals behaviors.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate Knowledge of production SKU’s
- Effectively demonstrate proper use of hand-pallet-jack equipment
- Palletize finished cases/pallets
- Assist in film/roll changes and product transfer
- Remove all scrap/trash from area and place in appropriate container for disposal
- Notify Team Leader/ Manager of product, quality, and mechanical issues
- Perform cleaning and sanitation tasks as directed by Team Leader (MSS Tasks)
- Complete other duties as assigned
Candidate Qualifications:
- A minimum of a high school degree or equivalent GED is preferred.
- Must be able to understand work instruction in English.
- Must be able to do basic (elementary level) arithmetic functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
Physical Demands:
- Must have the ability to make coordinated movement of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble large and small objects.
- Must be able to use a knife to cut and prepare meat as instructed.
- Must be able to stand for entire shifts with periodic, bending, reaching, stooping, and lifting up to 40 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.
- Must be able to safely walk and work around machinery and knives.
- Must be able to wear a hairnet, latex gloves, hearing protection, as well as any other PPE.
