Responsibilities
- Interior and exterior painting including color matching
- Gross carpentry work such as fencing, decks, and framing
- Trim carpentry work such as installing and repairing doors, crown molding, and handrails
- Flooring repairs including tile, VCT, LVT, carpet tiles, hardwood, etc.
- Perform more specialized work including concrete tasks such as leveling, patching, and forming
- Tile work including ceramic and stone installations/repairs
- Mechanical repairs on doors, appliances, and other related items
- Electrical repairs including ballasts/lights, switches, plugs, fans, fixtures, and other related items
- Handle property upkeep including weatherproofing, repairing seals and leaks
- General maintenance and repairs for commercial and residential properties
- Ensure tasks are performed to safety standards and building codes
- Communicate with clients about necessary repairs and estimated timeline
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods of time
- Comfortability working in various conditions
Qualifications
- At least 25 years of age or older
- A valid driver’s license
- Proven experience as a handyman, maintenance technician or similar role
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Work Environment and Work Hours
- Full-time hours, Monday - Friday, 8:30 - 4:30PM
- May require occasional evening, weekend, or on-call emergency work
- Work performed at client locations, requiring travel
