This Position:
The Title and Salary Level of this position will be commensurate with experience level and role assignment(s) of the selected candidate. This position requires minimum working hours of 8:00am-4:30pm. In‑office work is preferred. Remote work may be considered for candidates with sufficient experience and a demonstrated ability to meet demanding schedules.
The Electrical Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate, complete, and competitive cost estimates for electrical construction projects. This includes analyzing project documents, quantifying materials and labor, assessing risk, and supporting bid submissions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of construction estimating experience.
- Accubid and Live Count Estimation platform experience
- Related experience in construction administration, and a working knowledge of electrical systems.
- Advanced skills in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Project (or equivalent)
- The ability to quickly adapt to additional computer communications and networking technologies that may be required.
Electrical Estimator Position Responsibilities
1. Cost Estimation
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and bid documents
- Perform material takeoffs (wire, conduit, panels, fixtures, etc.)
- Estimate labor hours and productivity rates
- Calculate total project cost (materials labor overhead profit)
2. Bid Preparation
- Prepare detailed proposals and competitive bids
- Solicit and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
- Identify risks, allowances, and contingencies
3. Documentation
- Maintain organized estimate files
- Use estimating software (e.g., Accubid, Bluebeam)

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, communicate, reach and manipulate objects, tools or controls. The position requires mobility. Duties involve moving materials weighing up to 10 pounds on a regular basis and up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis. Manual dexterity and coordination are required over 50% of the work period while operating equipment such as computer keyboard, mouse, calculator and similar machines.
Working Conditions:
Usual office working conditions. Working in both an office and on job site walk throughs will be required. The noise level in the work environment is typical of most office environments, as well as typical of construction sites.
