What are the responsibilities and job description for the Estimator position at CFE, Inc.?
Evans Roofing Company, Inc. is a national commercial roofing contractor ranked among the top 20 in the country. We are seeking a Pre-Construction Estimator who is detail-oriented, organized, and ready to support our project management teams. This position plays a key role in preparing accurate estimates to ensure cost-effective and competitive proposals.
Knowledge & Skill requirements:
- Experience in the roofing or construction industry is preferred.
- Able to read and understand construction plans and specifications.
- Strong math and organizational skills.
- Computer knowledge with ability to work with Microsoft Office programs.
- General knowledge of AutoCAD preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Review construction documents to determine scope of work and details.
- Engage with offices to discuss various project requirements and recommendations.
- Prepare thorough and precise job cost estimates, working closely with the Preconstruction Manager and/or Operating Company involved with each specific project.
- Utilize resourceful and creative approaches to streamline the drawing time, foreman packet, and submittal procedures. Including updates and additions to give our bids and projects a competitive edge.
- Maintain productive relations with customers, building owners, general contractors, consultants and suppliers
- Occasionally attend pre-bid meetings and/or perform pre-bid site inspections to determine existing conditions.

Salary : $50,000 - $60,000
