About the Role
John Kamal Cars, a busy family-owned dealership in Southwest Houston, is hiring a full-time (W-2) Lot Porter / Inventory Specialist. You'll keep our lot organized, our vehicles moving, and our inventory accurate. This is a hands-on, on-your-feet role for a dependable person who takes pride in a clean, well-run lot.
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM; Saturday 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM (off at 2:00 PM every other Saturday).
Responsibilities:
- Move and stage vehicles and manage vehicle flow throughout the dealership
- Drop off and pick up vehicles; bring vehicles to the shop for the mechanic
- Wash and detail vehicles to keep them lot-ready
- Run temporary plate/tag errands
- Log VIN and stock numbers into our system (AutoAction) and track and organize keys
- Perform inventory counts and keep records accurate
- Assist the Service Director as needed
Requirements:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Must be insurable under our policy; minimum age 24
- Able to work outdoors and on your feet; able to safely move and drive vehicles
- Basic phone and computer skills (a plus)
- Prior dealership experience (a major plus)
Pay & Perks:
- $14 to $16 per hour based on experience
- Full-time, W-2 position
- Free lunch on Saturdays
- 90-day introductory period
