Murphy Homes, Inc. is seeking a Training & Education Manager to lead our values-based training program, supporting staff, individuals served, families, and the greater community. What You’ll Do
Deliver Training: Teach core curriculum courses (CPR, First Aid, Direct Support Professional training, etc.) using engaging methods that meet diverse learning styles.
Design Curriculum: Develop and update training programs with subject matter experts, creating effective, motivating, and accessible learning experiences.
Lead Projects: Plan and manage training workshops, conferences, and special projects, from design through delivery.
Drive Strategy: Align training goals with JFM’s mission, ensure compliance with regulations, and measure program effectiveness.
Expand Reach: Promote training opportunities internally and externally, maintain training records, and manage the training calendar and budget.
What We’re Looking For
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or Education plus 2 years’ classroom teaching/training experience, OR
5 years’ experience in intellectual disabilities services with at least 2 years classroom instruction experience.
Skills: Strong instructional and communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and comfort using audio-visual equipment. Knowledge of DHHS systems and human services terminology preferred.
Attributes: Energetic instructor, skilled curriculum designer, excellent project manager, and a collaborative leader who values confidentiality and integrity.
Physical & Work Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and travel between program locations.
Daily work involves both office-based tasks and hands-on training environments.
