Accountant – Consulting / Part-Time Project

John Evans Recruiting is partnering with a growing organization to identify a part‑time Accounting Consultant to support the CFO across core accounting functions, payroll, general operations, and process improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for a hands‑on professional who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and bringing structure, accuracy, and efficiency to day‑to‑day processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily accounting operations and full-cycle processing
- Manage AP, credit card reconciliations, and cash application (A/R)
- Process bi‑weekly payroll and provide HR administrative support
- Assist with month‑end close procedures and reporting
- Partner with the CFO on operational improvements and workflow optimization
- Contribute to ad‑hoc projects and general business support as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Experience with month‑end close and general accounting procedures
- Strong ability to interpret and analyze financial statements
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, MS Excel, and ADP Payroll
- Detail‑oriented, reliable, and comfortable working independently in a consulting capacity
