Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and driveline systems
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on diesel vehicles
- Conduct road tests to ensure repairs meet performance standards
- Use diagnostic tools and software to trouble shoot and resolve issues efficiently.
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that guests are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
- Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
- Adhere to safety standards and comply with Federal and State regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of diesel engines and mechanical systems.
- Previous GM experience or training preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in various positions.
- Valid driver’s license.
