Staff Position & Description
Position: Refuge Receptionist
Employee Classification: Non-Exempt
Department: Development
Reports To: Director of Development
Job Statement: Serves as the first point of contact for visitors, vendors, and clients, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment while providing administrative support to staff.
Duties:
- Answer and direct incoming calls; respond to inquiries or transfer to appropriate staff
- Monitor voicemail and forward messages promptly
- Schedule appointments for Mission Market and Mission Goods Store.
- Welcome and assist visitors; notify staff of arrivals or direct visitors to appropriate locations
- Make sure everyone entering has a badge or an approved destination
- Provide basic information and limited assistance to clients and guests
- Receive, sort, and distribute mail and packages
- Assist Development staff with mailings, scheduling, and administrative support
- Assist with other projects as appropriate
- Attend Mission meetings and functions
- Perform any other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent required
· Proficient with PC applications (Microsoft Office Suite)
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills; professional and courteous demeanor
· Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills strongly preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 per hour
