What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities):
- Mast & Spar Handling: Lead and assist in the precision unstepping, stepping, rigging, and de-rigging of sailboat masts.
- System Maintenance: Expertly inspect, identify, and repair issues in both standing (wire/rod) and running (lines/halyards) rigging systems.
- Mast Electronics: Install, wire, and test critical marine electronics, antennas, and lighting located within the mast and spars.
- Client Interaction: Address customer questions regarding their rigging systems, providing top-tier service that keeps them coming back.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, organized service records and repair documentation for completed projects.
What We Are Looking For:
- Background: High school diploma or equivalent. Prior experience in marine rigging, splicing, or sailboat maintenance is highly preferred, but we will train the right motivated applicant.
- Physical Ability: Must be comfortable working on your feet and able to safely lift up to 50 lbs. Comfort working at heights (in a bosun's chair or lift) is a major asset.
- Mindset: Extreme attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a genuine enthusiasm for the maritime industry.
