Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and quality.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients according to recipes and safety standards.
- Operate kitchen equipment including ovens, mixers, slicers, and other appliances safely and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations following food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Follow recipe adherence closely to ensure menu consistency while maintaining high-volume production standards.
- Support menu planning efforts by suggesting new ideas and seasonal specials based on culinary trends.
- Ensure proper food handling practices are followed at all times to uphold food safety management standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, with specific experience in pizza making or fine dining environments preferred.
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in cooking techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and food production.
- Knowledge of dietary department procedures and dietary aide experience is a plus.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely while adhering to food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Experience with high-volume production environments and catering is desirable.
- Excellent food handling skills combined with a solid understanding of food safety management practices.
- Previous restaurant or food industry experience demonstrating reliable meal preparation and food service skills.
