The Material Handler contributes to Joern’s daily inbound and outbound warehouse operations and does related work as assigned.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepares shipping orders and moves materials by operating material handling equipment.
- Verifies that all orders are filled, packaged and processed correctly.
- Responsible for transaction accuracy
- Load and unload shipments from trucks.
- Check in, put away, and systematic receipt of inbound shipments.
- Responsible for following all applicable safety/housekeeping guidelines.
- Must be able to work overtime as required.
High school diploma or equivalent
Required Skills & Experience
- Must be forklift certified or have the ability to be forklift certified.
- Must be detail oriented.
- 3-5 years' previous warehouse experience
- Familiar with Lean Manufacturing preferred.
- Knowledge of computer applications
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Ability to solve problems in a practical manner.
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

- Ability to learn quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment
