The Director of Finance is a strategic and operational finance leader responsible for overseeing accounting, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), forecasting, reporting, and business analytics across the organization. This role partners closely with executive leadership and operations to improve profitability, cash flow, operational efficiency, and financial visibility across the business.

What You’ll Do
Financial Planning & Strategic Analysis
- Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial planning
- Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives, growth planning, and operational decision-making
- Analyze company performance trends, margin drivers, labor utilization, and branch profitability
- Provide executive leadership with actionable financial insights and recommendations
- Partner with operations leadership to improve financial visibility and accountability
- Support pricing strategy, resource allocation, and profitability optimization initiatives
- Evaluate strategic investments, expansion opportunities, and operational improvement initiatives
Accounting & Financial Oversight
- Oversee the accounting team and ensure timely, accurate monthly close processes
- Maintain financial controls, reporting accuracy, and compliance standards
- Review financial statements and ensure integrity of financial reporting
- Oversee cash flow forecasting and working capital management
FP&A & Business Intelligence
- Build and maintain KPI dashboards and executive reporting packages
- Deliver monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc financial analysis to leadership
- Monitor key financial and operational metrics
- Identify financial risks, operational inefficiencies, and opportunities for margin improvement
- Drive data integrity and reporting accuracy across systems and departments
- Lead the development of scalable reporting and analytics capabilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and mentor the accounting and finance team
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, HR, sales, and production leadership
- Translate complex financial data into clear business recommendations
- Improve financial processes, systems, and reporting capabilities
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational partnership
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 7 years of progressive finance/accounting leadership experience
- Strong background in both accounting and FP&A
- Experience leading budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
- Strong understanding of operational finance and KPI reporting
- Experience managing accounting staff and month-end close processes
Preferred
- Experience in restoration, construction, field services, or project-based industries
- Experience with job costing and WIP reporting
- Familiarity with ERP/accounting systems and BI/reporting tools
- Experience supporting multi-location operations

Salary : $160,000 - $185,000
