Accounts Payable - Dealership

Overview

We are looking for a high performing, experienced AP Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the company's financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established accounting principles. This position requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in various accounting software, and a solid understanding of financial concepts.

Duties

• Verify, code, and post factory and vendor invoices.
• Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and account reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end closing processes.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure proper authorization for all transactions.
• Conduct analysis of accounts payable data to identify trends or discrepancies.
• Vendor statement reconciliations.
• Daily cash deposit.

Requirements

• Proven experience in accounts payable or related accounting roles.
• Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles and financial concepts.
• Proficiency with CDK DMS.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry and account reconciliation.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Knowledge of public accounting practices, governmental accounting standards, or non-profit accounting is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
