What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barista position at Joe and Sam's Cafe?
We're looking for friendly, energetic baristas to join our growing team! If you love coffee, enjoy connecting with our community, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to meet you! The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator, articulate, able to multi-task and a self-starter! (We don't micromanage.) Must be available to work afternoons and evenings, as well as some Saturdays.
Baristas are expected to perform the following responsibilities daily... prepare and serve high-quality coffee, espresso, tea and specialty beverages; greet customer warmly and provide exceptional customer service; take customer orders accurately and process payments efficiently; maintain a clean, organized and welcoming cafe environment; restock supplies and assist with opening and closing duties; follow directions/checklists, recipes and quality standards to ensure consistency; assist with serving pastries, sandwiches, etc. as needed; follow all food safety, handling and sanitation guidelines. Experience isn't necessary, but a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a sense of humor is!
The hourly rate is guaranteed and tips often move rate to $15 daily.
