What is the position?
The Gas Turbine Specialist (Power Innovation) plays a key role in supporting the commissioning, startup, and operation of gas turbine systems for power generation projects. This position focuses on ensuring equipment is safely commissioned, thoroughly tested, and operating reliably while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver successful project outcomes.
What are the responsibilities?
As a Gas Turbine Specialist (Power Innovation), you will:
- Support the commissioning, startup, and operational readiness of gas turbine systems and related power infrastructure.
- Perform commissioning procedures, testing, and system validation while coordinating FAT/SAT activities and project turnover.
- Document test results, complete technical reports, and maintain accurate commissioning records.
- Lead technical reviews, readiness meetings, and provide updates to project teams and leadership.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
- Promote safe work practices while adopting innovative technologies that improve operational performance.
What are the requirements?
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification preferred.
- Experience maintaining or troubleshooting gas turbine engines is required.
- Experience with Siemens SGT-800 and A-35 gas turbines is preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work at heights, and safely use mechanical tools and diagnostic equipment.
