What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Supervisor position at Jobster LLC?
Position Summary
Supports daily production operations by helping the team meet production schedules, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure efficient workflow across the manufacturing floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate daily, weekly, and hourly production priorities to team members.
- Monitor work order progress and ensure timely completion
- Reconcile and close work orders daily
- Assist with inventory preparation, cycle counts, and reconciliations
- Coordinate with shipping/receiving regarding back orders, urgent parts, and material shortages
- Maintain and update operator training records and training matrix
- Track and report production KPIs
- Serve as backup production scheduler when needed
- Assist in developing and updating SOPs
- Supervise production team members and support employee performance management.
- Partner with production and quality teams to resolve quality issues
- Audit production paperwork and records for accuracy
- Report accidents, near misses, and employee concerns to management
- Communicate shipment accuracy, inventory levels, and recordkeeping updates to leadership
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required; additional education preferred
- 5–8 years of manufacturing experience required
- Minimum 3 years of direct supervisory experience
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Technical Skills
- Microsoft 365
- Email and internet systems
- ERP systems are preferred
Certifications
- Valid driver's license
- First Aid, CPR, and AED certification preferred
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- On-site position with 1st shift schedule: 5:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Overtime required as needed
- Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and reaching
- Regular lifting to 25 lbs.
- Exposure to manufacturing equipment and moderate noise levels
