POSITION: Quality Assurance Inspector
A growing American company and major international manufacturer and supplier of military/defense and aerospace parts, components, equipment, and total systems since 1975 is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to join its team in Boca Raton, FL.
The company specializes in locating and manufacturing hard-to-find and legacy parts and components for obsolete or discontinued equipment and systems supporting military applications on land, in the air, and at sea.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect mechanical parts in a manufacturing environment.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing materials against engineering drawings, certificates of conformance, and testing certificates. Obtain the correct documentation when discrepancies are identified.
- Determine whether to accept or reject product lots, place holds or releases in the internal system, and document inspection results.
- Inspect in-process materials and document acceptance or rejection decisions.
- Verify supplier inputs and finished outputs prior to customer delivery.
- Inspect components for potential long-term storage damage, shelf-life concerns, rust, physical damage, or improper packaging.
- Review documentation to ensure products meet customer requirements.
- Serve as the Designated Supplier Quality Representative (DSQR).
- Present all First Article Inspections to the customer's Quality Assurance Representative (QAR).
- Stop production and notify the Quality Control Manager if any condition could result in a nonconformance.
Required/Preferred Experience
- Previous experience inspecting mechanical parts in a manufacturing environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent with 3–5 years of manufacturing or quality experience in an ISO 9001/AS9100 environment.
- Strong math skills, including working with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, linear scales, pin and thread gauges, optical comparators, microscopes, and CMM equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), material certifications, heat treatment documents, coating/finish certificates, and related documentation.
- Ability to establish document traceability using lot numbers, heat numbers, purchase orders, and related records.
- Ability to generate Inspection Reports and First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) using AS9102 forms. Previous FAIR experience is preferred; training will be provided if needed.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, technical documentation, MIL standards, and industry standards to ensure products meet quality requirements.
