HVAC Development Engineer

Job Description

• Establish validation Test Plans for HVAC units, Specifications, Reliability testing and perform the testsin lab per the established plan
• Support build of all IPM and FARR simulation models for the new and legacy products by providing necessary inputs
• Raise Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and track their progress
• Create component specifications to support resourcing and procurement
• UL & AHRI Regulatory knowledge and application to products testingand specification (AHRI, UL, ETL)
• Product development based on customer requirements and current or future regulations and transferring those requirements down to component level
• Test prototypes, write development test reports and document resultsaccording to company rules
• Oversee product development tasks including testing,assembly & manufacturing
• Communicating development and test validations results timely
• Establish & Deliver development test engineer tasks per plannedProject Milestones and scopes
• Ownership to resolve technical problems or prompt response to address issues and escalate as needed

• Be a team player within cross function teams, understand multidiscipline needs (Engineering, Marketing, Assembly, Logistics, Purchasing etc.) and supportthem as needed
• Adhere to Safety & Security Protocols
• Follow-up on Test Plans, Ratings,Durability and Reliability
• Strong focus on quality and attention to detail
• Technical risk assessment tools (FMEA, DRBFM)knowledge and experience
• Knowledge and experience on DFMA (designfor manufacturing and assembly)
• Proactively identify and address product& project issues
• Guide and assist sample builds

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering disciplines (Mechanical / Mechatronics preferred)
• Min 7 years’ experience (preferably within HVAC)
• Experience with technicalrisk assessment tools (e.g., FMEA, DRBFM)
• Proficient in MicrosoftOffice
• HVAC System Optimization Experience (Flow, Efficiency, Capacity)

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Design experience with CAD tools (e.g., NX, AutoCAD)
• FEA and / or CFD Analysis Tools
• Data Analysis (Excel, Programming languages, etc.)
