What are the responsibilities and job description for the HVAC Development Engineer position at JobSquad Florida?
Job Description
- Establish validation Test Plans for HVAC units, Specifications, Reliability testing and perform the testsin lab per the established plan
- Support build of all IPM and FARR simulation models for the new and legacy products by providing necessary inputs
- Raise Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and track their progress
- Create component specifications to support resourcing and procurement
- UL & AHRI Regulatory knowledge and application to products testingand specification (AHRI, UL, ETL)
- Product development based on customer requirements and current or future regulations and transferring those requirements down to component level
- Test prototypes, write development test reports and document resultsaccording to company rules
- Oversee product development tasks including testing,assembly & manufacturing
- Communicating development and test validations results timely
- Establish & Deliver development test engineer tasks per plannedProject Milestones and scopes
- Ownership to resolve technical problems or prompt response to address issues and escalate as needed
- Be a team player within cross function teams, understand multidiscipline needs (Engineering, Marketing, Assembly, Logistics, Purchasing etc.) and supportthem as needed
- Adhere to Safety & Security Protocols
- Follow-up on Test Plans, Ratings,Durability and Reliability
- Strong focus on quality and attention to detail
- Technical risk assessment tools (FMEA, DRBFM)knowledge and experience
- Knowledge and experience on DFMA (designfor manufacturing and assembly)
- Proactively identify and address product& project issues
- Guide and assist sample builds
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering disciplines (Mechanical / Mechatronics preferred)
- Min 7 years’ experience (preferably within HVAC)
- Experience with technicalrisk assessment tools (e.g., FMEA, DRBFM)
- Proficient in MicrosoftOffice
- HVAC System Optimization Experience (Flow, Efficiency, Capacity)
Additional information
Experience in some of the following areas is a plus:
- Strong organizational & interpersonal skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Design experience with CAD tools (e.g., NX, AutoCAD)
- FEA and / or CFD Analysis Tools
- Data Analysis (Excel, Programming languages, etc.)
