Key Duties
- Support the implementation and execution of IP procedures and policies to safeguard company innovations.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of intellectual property data.
- Maintain logs tracking the progress of IP workflows.
- Serve as the administrator for IP management and docketing systems.
- Archive historical patent records and maintain documentation of legacy IP.
- Keep an up-to-date record of patent and trademark statuses.
- Monitor the progress of ongoing IP matters.
- Help manage documentation related to patent marking.
- Communicate with external legal counsel and track the progress of outsourced IP matters.
- Participate in Patent Review Board meetings.
- Track inventorship and assist with inventor recognition initiatives.
- Compile and distribute monthly reports on IP metrics.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in intellectual property administration or legal docketing.
- Solid knowledge of intellectual property laws and procedures.
- Skilled in using IP docketing and management software.
- Familiarity with American and Canadian IP regulations and prosecution processes.
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline is preferred.
