Position Overview
Tekberry is seeking hands-on, mechanically inclined individuals to support electric vehicle (EV) battery refurbishment operations with our client, a leader in the automotive logistics and vehicle lifecycle industry.
This is an entry-level technician role in a production environment. The position focuses on inspecting, disassembling, testing, repairing, and reassembling vehicle battery systems so they can be safely reused.
You do not need previous battery experience training is provided. Candidates with automotive, warehouse, construction, or mechanical backgrounds tend to succeed in this role.

Responsibilities
- Disassemble and reassemble vehicle battery packs using hand and power tools Perform battery de-energizing and re-energizing procedures Inspect electrical connections, wiring, and components Replace defective parts and restore battery functionality Perform basic diagnostics and electrical testing Remove and handle battery fluids safely Package and prepare battery components for shipment Enter maintenance data into company systems Follow standard operating procedures and quality requirements Maintain a clean and safe workspace Wear required PPE and follow all safety guidelines Support team production goals and daily operations
- High School Diploma or GED 0 2 years of hands-on work experience (warehouse, mechanical, automotive, construction, or manufacturing) Experience using hand tools or power tools Basic computer skills (data entry, email, system updates) Ability to read written instructions and follow procedures Strong attention to detail and reliability Ability to work on a team and follow direction Commitment to safety and quality
- Automotive or mechanic helper experience Assembly or manufacturing work Tire shop, lube tech, or dealership experience Electrical or maintenance background Technical or vocational training
- Lift up to 50 lbs regularly Lift up to 65 lbs occasionally (team lift for heavier items) Stand and walk for entire shift Frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity Ability to work in a production/warehouse environment
