Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Workday Developer / Tech Lead with strong expertise in Workday HCM ecosystem, including Workday Extend and VNDLY. The ideal candidate will lead configuration, design, development, integrations, and enterprise-wide Workday solution delivery while partnering with HR, IT, and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex Workday solutions and modules.
- Configure and support Workday business processes with focus on:
- Core HCM
- Payroll
- Time & Absence
- Compensation
- Benefits
- Talent & Recruiting
- Integrations & Reporting
- Provide technical leadership and oversight for Workday Extend and VNDLY implementations.
- Perform tenant configuration, EIB data loads, reporting, integrations, and troubleshooting activities.
- Review and optimize current Workday configurations and workflows for long-term scalability and efficiency.
- Support semi-annual Workday releases, testing, deployments, and production validation.
- Maintain audit-compliant documentation and change management standards.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, HR teams, and stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals.
- Mentor team members and guide engineering best practices including Agile delivery, peer reviews, estimation, and DevOps practices.
- Research Workday Community updates and proactively identify innovation and technical debt reduction opportunities.
- 7 years of experience in Workday development/configuration across multiple Workday domains
- Strong expertise in at least two of the following:
- Workday HCM
- Advanced Compensation
- Benefits
- Recruiting
- Time & Absence
- VNDLY
- Peakon
- Workday Extend
- Hands-on experience with:
- Workday business process configuration
- EIB mass data loads
- Workday reporting & analytics
- Integration testing and troubleshooting
- Workday security framework
- Cloud-based multi-tenant systems
- Strong understanding of:
- Workday data model
- Enterprise architecture
- Interfaces and reporting
- Agile and DevOps methodologies
- Experience leading Workday implementations and enterprise solution delivery.
- Workday Pro Certifications preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field.
- Experience with Workday Extend and VNDLY highly preferred.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Banking or enterprise-scale environment experience is a plus.
