Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an VP Sales, IMO Channel for a FULL TIME assignment with one of our premier FInancial clients. This role is REMOTE with a strong preference for someone living in the MidWest Region.
A growing insurance and retirement platform is seeking a VP Sales - IMO Channel to drive annuity growth and deepen strategic distribution partnerships across the Independent Marketing Organization (IMO) channel. This is not an External Wholesaler or Regional Vice President role. The ideal candidate brings strong credibility within the IMO annuity ecosystem and understands how to grow production through strategic partner development, relationship expansion, and distribution influence rather than traditional territory wholesaling. This individual should have a proven background building and strengthening IMO relationships, executing distribution strategy, and driving annuity sales growth across partner organizations and field sales networks. Candidates should bring meaningful experience within the annuity and life insurance space, along with strong relationship management skills, distribution expertise, and the ability to operate as a strategic business partner both internally and externally.
Responsibilities
Build and deepen relationships with IMO partners and key stakeholders
Drive annuity sales growth and market share expansion
Execute territory and account growth strategies alongside internal distribution leadership
Deliver product positioning and sales presentations to IMO leadership and marketers
Expand partner engagement and identify new business opportunities
Serve as a strategic distribution partner while acting as a key field representative for the organization
Travel extensively to maintain strong client presence and partnership development
Qualifications
7 years annuity and life insurance industry experience
Strong Independent Marketing Organization (IMO) Channel Experience REQUIRED
Proven success driving sales growth through distribution relationships
Strong relationship-building and executive communication skills
Experience partnering with internal sales, national accounts, or distribution teams
Series 7, 63, and Life & Health licenses preferred (or ability to obtain QUICKLY)
Midwest location strongly preferred
