Title: VOIP Engineer
Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid Onsite)
Duration: 12-24 Months
Responsibilities:
- Experience performing supervisory/management work including providing clear direction to subordinates; promoting teamwork and motivating others to accomplish goals.
- Experience with administration, maintenance, and design of Cisco VoIP solutions is required.
- Experience managing a networking team in a highly complex environment.
- Experienced with implementation and support of 24x7x365 network, voice, and video environment.
- Provide leadership and oversight of Network Services operations, including WAN, LAN, wireless, SD-WAN, and network security platforms
- Oversee daily operational activities, including incident management, problem resolution, and service availability
- Serve as escalation point for high-priority network and infrastructure issues
- Coordinate and prioritize workload across Network Services teams, including infrastructure and security-focused functions
- Support ongoing and planned initiatives, including:
- SD-WAN implementation and optimization Network monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Thousand Eyes, App Dynamics) security integrations (e.g., Secure Workload, NGFW, identity services)
- Provide vendor coordination and oversight for network-related services and contracts
- Ensure compliance with Agency security standards, policies, and regulatory requirements
- Participate in change management processes and ensure proper documentation and approvals
- Collaborate with Infrastructure Engineering, Data Center, Telecom, and Security teams to support cross-functional initiatives
- Provide status reporting, risk identification, and mitigation planning to leadership Maintain documentation of network architecture, processes, and operational procedures
- Support knowledge transfer and continuity planning for the return of the permanent Network Services Manager.
