Job Title: Software Engineer (VoIP / SIP)

Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid)

Employment Type: C2C ($65/hr) / W2 ($54/hr)

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with strong VoIP/SIP experience to design, develop, and maintain high-performance voice communication systems. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SIP protocols, C/C development, and hands-on experience with FreeSWITCH.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable VoIP/SIP-based applications
• Work on SIP stack and SIPUA for voice communication systems
• Develop and optimize applications using C/C
• Configure and manage FreeSWITCH-based solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to voice quality, latency, and signaling
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance
• Participate in code reviews and maintain technical documentation
  
  

Required Skills

• 5 10 years of experience in VoIP / SIP technologies
• Strong knowledge of SIP, SIP Stack, and SIPUA
• Hands-on experience with FreeSWITCH (2 5 years)
• Proficiency in C/C programming
• Experience in developing and debugging real-time communication systems
  
  

Nice to Have

• Experience with SIP Media Gateways and Session Border Controllers (SBC)
• Exposure to telecom or unified communication platforms
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment (Austin, TX)
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
