Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled VMware professional to manage, maintain, and optimize our virtualized infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with VMware vSphere environments, virtualization technologies, and associated storage and networking components. This role ensures high availability, performance, and security of our virtual environments while supporting business continuity initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts, vCenter, and virtual machines.
- Monitor and optimize virtual infrastructure performance, resource allocation, and capacity planning.
- Implement backup, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions using VMware technologies.
- Manage and configure VMware tools and associated services (e.g., vSAN, NSX, Horizon).
- Troubleshoot and resolve virtual infrastructure issues, escalating complex problems as needed.
- Collaborate with IT teams to support server, storage, and network integration in the virtual environment.
- Maintain system documentation, standard operating procedures, and change management records.
- Stay current with VMware updates, patches, and best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience managing VMware vSphere environments (minimum 3–5 years preferred).
- Strong understanding of virtualization concepts, hypervisors, and virtual networking.
- Experience with VMware tools: vCenter, ESXi, vSAN, NSX, Horizon (depending on role).
- Familiarity with backup, disaster recovery, and HA/DR solutions.
- Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, or similar) is a mandate.
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
