Mechanical Design Engineer Newark, CA -Onsite Duration: Long-term Contract

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support product development for next-generation electric vehicles. The role involves designing, developing, and validating mechanical components and assemblies across vehicle systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical components (closures, interiors, chassis, battery systems, etc.)
• Create 3D CAD models (CATIA / NX / SolidWorks)
• Perform tolerance stack-ups, DFMEA, and GD&T analysis
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, validation, suppliers)
• Support prototype builds and production releases
• Drive design optimization for cost, weight, and performance
  
  

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor s or Master s in Mechanical Engineering
• 5 10 years of experience in automotive mechanical design
• Strong experience with CATIA V5/NX
• Expertise in GD&T, tolerance stack-up, DFMEA
• Experience in EV systems or automotive OEM/Tier-1
• Strong communication skills (cross-functional collaboration)
