Mechanical Design Engineer Newark, CA -Onsite Duration: Long-term Contract
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support product development for next-generation electric vehicles. The role involves designing, developing, and validating mechanical components and assemblies across vehicle systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical components (closures, interiors, chassis, battery systems, etc.)
- Create 3D CAD models (CATIA / NX / SolidWorks)
- Perform tolerance stack-ups, DFMEA, and GD&T analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, validation, suppliers)
- Support prototype builds and production releases
- Drive design optimization for cost, weight, and performance
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s or Master s in Mechanical Engineering
- 5 10 years of experience in automotive mechanical design
- Strong experience with CATIA V5/NX
- Expertise in GD&T, tolerance stack-up, DFMEA
- Experience in EV systems or automotive OEM/Tier-1
- Strong communication skills (cross-functional collaboration)
Salary : $50 - $60
